What is a resort package?
A Walt Disney World Resort package is one that includes a room reservation and theme park admission plus some magical extras at a minimum. ***Throughout 2025, guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can enjoy admission to one of our water parks on their check-in day – included with their stay. How far in advance can I book a resort package?
Resort packages can currently be booked through October of 2025.
What else can be included in a resort package?
Ground transportation (Alamo Rent a Car), Memory Maker, and Disney Dining Plan (for bookings for travel in 2024).
What are the Magical Extras included in a resort package?
Magical Extras include 4 vouchers for a round of Mini-Golf at either Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course or Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course, four vouchers for the ESPN Wide World of Sports and discounts to Splitsville Luxury Lanes and a few other locations at Disney Springs. What are the benefits of booking a WDW resort package?
You get complete control of your vacation package. You pick the length of stay, hotel, and the type of tickets that will work best for your plans.
Flexibility of payment. You can secure your reservation with $200 and then have the flexibility to pay it off slowly until 30 days before travel.
You can cancel at anytime up to 30 days before travel and receive a full refund.

With the Disney Dining Plan returning in 2024 you can prepay for an essentially all-inclusive vacation, allowing for a more stress-free experience.
Often there are deals which allow you to save money when booking a package. Discounts are typically released 3-5 months in advance. They can often be applied to an existing vacation package. When booking with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner they will check and automatically apply any discounts that come available for your trip.
MagicBands are offered instead at a discounted rate as part of your Walt Disney Resort package and can be purchased up to ten days before arrival in My Disney Experience online. Pre-ordered MagicBands start at $9.99 for a solid colored regular MagicBand and range to $24.99 Pre-orders of MagicBand + range from $24.99 to $34.99
Advance Dining Reservations can be scheduled for the length of your stay starting 60 days out of the first day of your package
Starting in 2025 - free admission to either of Disney's waterparks on the day you arrive.
Is there a deposit required for a resort package?
A $200 deposit is due at the time of booking.
When do I have to pay off a resort package?
30 days before check-in
Are there discounts available for resort packages?
There are many different discounts available depending on when you travel. Discounts are typically released 3-5 months in advance. They can be found on the WDW website here

What is online check-in?
This is where you can check-in online, through your planning portal, 60 days in advance. If you do online check-in you can skip checking in at the front desk when you arrive saving you that time and hassle of waiting in line. Once you arrive you will either be able to go directly to your room, if it is ready, or proceed directly to the parks if you are doing parks on your first day.
