Walt Disney World is always changing and updating their rides and experiences. You do not want to arrive on your trip only to discover your favorite attraction is closed. Check our list for current and upcoming closures - updated weekly.

Animal Kingdom - No Current Closures 

Upcoming Closures:

• Kali River Rapids - Closed January 6, 2025 - March 2025 for refurbishment

• TriceraTop Spin - Closed permanently January 13, 2025

• Fossil Fun Games - Closed permanently January 13, 2025

• Chester and Hester's Dinosaur Treasures - Closed permanently January 13, 2025

• DINOSAUR – TBD closure date (likely late 2025/early 2026)

• The Boneyard - TBD closure date (likely late 2025/early 2026)

• It’s Tough to Be a Bug – Closing permanently on March 17, 2025, will reopen as Zootopia: Better Together! likely late 2025.
  

Magic Kingdom

• Astro Orbiter – Closed from January 13, 2025 until summer of 2025 for refurbishment

• Tom Sawyer Island - Closing Permanently in 2025 to be rethemed to Radiator Springs

• Liberty Square Riverboat - Closing Permanently in 2025

• Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - Closed January 6, 2025 through some time in 2026 for refurbishment

• Hall of Presidents - Closed for refurbishment

  
  

Epcot

• Test Track – Closed for refurbishment and reimagining reopening late summer 2025

• Gran Fiesta Tour - Closed until March 15, 2025 for refurbishment
  

Hollywood Studios

• Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster – Reopened

• Voyage of the Little Mermaid – Reopening Summer 2025

• Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy - Permanently closed will reopen as the new show Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After summer of 2025

• Villain's Magic Mirror Show - Opens summer 2025

• Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano - Closing Permanently on May 10, 2025

• Muppet*Vision 3D -  Closing Permanently on Jun 7, 2025

• PizzeRizzo - Closing Permanently on June 7th, 2025

  
  

Resorts

• All Star Movies  – Fantasia Pool is closed from January 2025 to April 2025 for refurbishment

• Pop Century Resort - Everthing POP Food Court is being refurbished and is partially opened. Food may be purchased both in person and through mobile ordering on the My Disney Experience app, tables are available, but construction is still on going through April 2025. From late March 2025 to mid-February 2026, guest rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort will undergo refurbishment

• Yacht Club and Beach Club Resort and Villa's Storm Along Bay and Shipwreck Pool are closing January 2025 to June 2025. From January 2025 Some guest rooms at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will be under refurbishment throught May 2025. Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. Most resort hotel amenities including the other pools at both resorts will remain available.

• BoardWalk Inn - Currently undergoing refurbishment and redesign. Guests way see and hear construction during the day.

  • Jellyrolls piano bar is permanently closing April 19, 2025

• Grand Floridian Resort and Spa - Currently undergoing refurbishment and redesign. Guests way see and hear construction during the day.

  • The Courtyard Pool, spa, and pool bar are closed January 20, 2025 through "late February 2025"

• Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort - Refurbishments will start September 2024 and continue through September 2025. The resort will remain completely open to guests, but tower rooms may be limited.

• Fort Wilderness Campground – New cabins are open as of July 1, 2024 with more openings happening in 2025.

• Port Orleans French Quarter - Through Spring 2025 rooms will be undergoing renovations on a rotating basis.  Guests may see or hear construction.  Most of the resort amenities will remain open.

• Port Orleans Riverside Magnolia Bend area -April 2025 - January 2026 rooms will be undergoing renovations on a rotating basis.. Guests may see or hear construction. The resort amenities will remain open.

• Wilderness Lodge - Currently undergoing exterior refurbishment work and refurbishments to the Copper Creek Villas through September 2025. Guests may see or hear construction.  Most of the resort amenities will remain open.
  

Water Parks

• Blizzard Beach Waterpark - Open for the season

• Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark - Closing for refurbishment. (likely spring 2025)
