Updated: Jul 23

Why do I need a planning party?

  • Before you can make a theme park reservation, schedule a virtual queue, or buy Lighting Lane Mulit or Single Pass you need to make sure your planning party is linked.

How do I check to see if my planning party is linked?

  • You can check by going to My Disney Experience either in the app or on the web page.

How do I check to see if my planning party is linked on the Walt Disney World website?

  • First go to https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/ and log into your account.

  • Click on My Disney Experience in the top right corner, and then click on Friends and Family or click on Friends and Family in the bar below.

  • All of the people you have plans with will show up here. If everyone is listed, you are good to go.

How do I add someone to my planning party on the WDW website?

  • You will need to click on Add a Guest on the bottom. Guests can be added three ways.

  • The first is to Find Through Your Connected Guests. If the missing person in your party is listed here you can simply click, and assuming they have a valid ticket for the same days as yours, you will be good to go.

  • The second way is to Import Through a Walt Disney World Resort reservation number. You will need the reservation number and the last name on the reservation from the missing party member to add them this way.

  • The third way is to enter the missing members name and age. Afterwards it will ask you if you want to manage them or invite them to connect. If you would like to connect with their existing Disney account with a valid ticket, then invite them to connect and enter the email address associated with their account. They can then accept your request and you will be good to go!

Is there another way to fix a problem with my Planning Party?

  • You can call Walt Disney World’s non-reservation questions number at (407) 939-2273. Make sure you have your own reservation number onhand and the reservation numbers of anyone you need to link. They often have a long wait time, but should be able to help you.
