My Disney Experience

The My Disney Experience (MDE) app has a plethora of information that will be useful to you during your trip. You can find park maps, park times, bus times, menus, wait times, and so much more. You can also make dining reservations, mobile order food, and book Lighting Lane Multi and Single Pass reservations. Take some time to explore the app before you leave for Disney.
What is My Disney Experience (MDE)?
A WDW vacation planning platform. It can be accessed online here or by downloading the Walt Disney World App on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
What can you do with MDE?
Your My Disney Experience allows you to access your hotel reservations and ticket information, but it is so much more. With it you can explore park hours, make or modify park reservations, and dining reservations. MDE has interactive maps of all the parks and will give you access to real-time wait-times for rides and attractions. It allows you to book Lightning Lane Multi Pass, as well as Lightning Lane Single Pass and Virtual Queues. Photopass pictures are viewed in your MDE app. You can mobile order from quick service restaurants and play games in the park. Qualifying guests can book Disability Access Pass come-back times in the MDE app. The MDE app can even be used as your WDW resort hotel key and it can even be used to scan your ticket into the park.
What features are available in the MDE app for your resort reservation?
On the MDE app you can find information about your resort reservation. You can take advantage of online check in up to 60 days before arrival. The MDE app has a map for your resort, plus information on dining, shopping, spa hours - if available, and guest services. After arrival, once it is assigned, you can find your room number and unlock your resort door.. You can find bus transportation from your resort to the parks and Disney Springs. All of this information can be found by clicking on the three lines on the bottom right corner of your screen and selecting Resort Hotel.
What dining location features are available in the MDE app?
Dining locations will have operating hours listed in the app. For each dining location, menus are available. Quick service will have a mobile-ordering option - assuming it is available at the location. See our post about mobile ordering here. Table Service locations will have options to make dining reservations. Walk-up wait lists can also be joined for lounges and table service restaurants where available.
What is Disney MagicMobile on the MDE?
Disney MagicMobile gives you the ability to use your phone as your park ticket. You must have a valid park ticket linked to your MDE.
What features can be found on the interactive map?
The interactive map can be used to find and locate attractions, restrooms, guest services, dining, photopass areas, shopping, entertainment, and transportation. For any location you can select “get directions” to be given directions straight to the destination from your current location. Wait times can be found on the interactive map.
What are the Tip Boards in the MDE app?
The Tip Boards tile gives you real-time information about the different rides and attractions at the park including standby line times. It is also the area in MDE app where you access Lightning Lane Multi Pass. See our post here for more details.
What is the Merchandise and Mobile Check out Tile?
This allows you to Mobile check out at various shopping locations at Disney Springs and the Parks. The different locations can be found by clicking on the tile.
What is Play Disney Parks?
Play Disney Parks sends you to a different app that must be downloaded. It is an interactive gaming experience that allows you to connect to the parks in a new way. There are IOS and Android versions available. Click here for more information.
Is MDE app hard to use?
Disney prides itself in having made MDE user friendly for the technologically challenged. We would say it is not hard to use, but sometimes it takes a little finagling to be able to find and use all of the features.
