Moderate Resorts
Updated: May 8, 2023
Disney’s Moderate Resorts aim to hit that sweet spot between budget friendly and lavishly expensive, providing immersive theming, multiple dining options, larger rooms, and a slide at the main pool. Moderate Resorts are a great way to feel a little more upscale while still keeping budget in mind.
As you might expect, moderate resorts are those that fall between value and deluxe in pricing, room size, and amenities. The theming at Disney’s moderate resorts is a step up from their value resorts. Here you are immersed in the different locations represented. While not as grandiose at the deluxe resorts, Disney’s moderate resorts are an escape from reality transporting guests to the bayous of Louisiana, the beaches of the Caribbean, the great wood of the American northwest, or to the southwest to experience the spanish and mexican influences on the culture there. Each of them also has a food court, and while each offers a standard fair of burgers and chicken nuggets, you can also find some special dishes themed to the resorts. The moderate resorts also have sit down meals available. They also each have a main pool, but you will find slides available at these pools, an added perk you will not find at value resort pools.
