Breaking News: Changes to Lightning Lane Premier Pass

Disney has announced that as of November 22, 2024 Lightening Lane Premier Pass (LLPP) is available to guests at all Walt Disney World resort hotels including the Walt Disney World Dolphin, Swan, Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green Resort. LLPP was previously only available to guests at Disney’s deluxe resorts. Walt Disney World resort can purchase the Lightning Lane Premier Pass up to seven days before their stay. LLPP can only be purchased in the My Disney Experience app and pricing varies by date and park. Premier Pass will still only be available in limited qualities, so make sure to booking early.


***According to the Walt Disney World app, LLPP are sold out for the following dates for Thanksgiving break:

  • Magic Kingdom: November 23, 25, 26, 27, and 28

  • Hollywood Studios: November 25 and 28.

We will update if we find out more dates have sold out.

Disney has also been tweaking pricing, lowering the minimum price at three of the four parks effective December 10, 2024


Disney's Hollywood Studios:

  • Previous Min: $269

  • New Min: $249 (Effective December 8, 2024)

  • New Price Range $249–$349

Epcot

  • Previous Min: $159

  • New Min: $149 (Effective December 9, 2024)

  • New Price Range: $149–$249

Disney's Animal Kingdom:

  • Previous Min: $129

  • New Min: $119 (Effective December 10, 2024)

  • Animal Kingdom: $119–$199

The price range has not changed at Magic Kingdom:

  • Price Range: $329–$449

Guests should expect to only see these new prices mid-week during traditionally low attendence times.




Disney introduces new Lightning Lane Premier Pass

Starting October 30, 2024 Disney will begin piloting a new line skipping pass at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.


This service will be available to guests staying on property at deluxe resorts in limited qualities, and like other Lightning Lane passes, it can be purchased up to seven days in advance of arrival. Let's dive into all the details.


Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be similar to line-skipping services that have been available for purchase at other theme parks such as Universal Orlando.

The Pass will include one entry to each Lightning Lane entrance that can be used anytime throughout the day. There will be no need to schedule an arrival time in advance. The pass will include all attractions currently available for purchase using both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass. It will also include PhotoPass downloads. There will be no Park Hopper option offered.


The cost of Lightning Lane Premier Passes will be quite pricey and vary by date and theme park. Prices will range from $129 to $449 per person, plus tax. Release prices are as follows and exclude tax:

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $129 to $199 per guest

  • EPCOT: $169 to $249 per guest

  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $269 to $349 per guest

  • Magic Kingdom: $329 to $449 per guest


Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be slightly different at Disneyland Resort. Disney will begin piloting Lightning Lane Premier Pass their on October 23, 2024. Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available 3 days in advance starting at 7 AM PST to all guests with a theme park ticket and park reservation. Lightning Lane Premier Pass at Disneyland will be $400 per person through December 31, 2024. Afterwards prices will vary by date. The pass will include one-time entry to each Lightning Lane attraction both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Guests must have a park hopper ticket in order to use the pass at both parks.
