Breaking: Magic Kingdom Reopens after Bear on Property Closes Half of the Park.

Writer's picture: BrendaBrenda

Guests at the Magic Kingdom today were disappointed to learn all of Frontierland, Adventureland, and Liberty Square was closed. It seems a black bear, a species native to that part of Florida, was hanging out in a tree in Frontierland. Cast members spotted the bear before the park was open this morning. No word on if she was protesting the closing of Splash Mountain or the planned Re-theming Country Bear Jamboree Show. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation worked with Disney officials to capture the adult, female black bear who will be relocated to the Ocala Nation Forest. No blood was found on any saddles, much to the chagrin of the Country Bear Jamboree. As of 2pm Eastern time all rides except the WDW Railroad have finally reopened.
